FAMILIES were invited to journey back in time to the Middle Ages for Medieval Fest at Worcester Cathedral.
The celebration of medieval life, culture, and adventure for all ages ran from Thursday August 14 to Saturday August 16, and saw the cathedral and its grounds transformed into a bustling medieval hub filled with entertainment, education, and enchantment.
The packed programme of activities included a medieval market with food, drink and artisan crafts, movies in the cathedral, a dragon trail, tower climbs and tours, a music recital, a medieval banquet, and a dungeons and dragons night.
Director of events at Worcester Cathedral, Sam Poursain, said: “Worcester Cathedral was transformed into a medieval playground for all ages. From dragon-spotting on our family-friendly trail to movie nights under the vaulted ceilings of the nave, there was magic around every corner. Whether here to feast like royalty at The Old Palace or tap your toes to hurdy-gurdy tunes, our MedievalFest was a ticket to step back in time and make some unforgettable memories.”
