AN UNSTOPPABLE fundraising duo from New College Worcester have completed a 24-hour exercise marathon.
School therapist Peter and sixth form student Millie took on the huge challenge of completing 24 different sporting activities in 24 hours.
From 7.30pm on Sunday June 22 through to 7.30pm on Monday June 23 they completed everything from rowing to football, while raising awareness and vital funds to support students with vision impairment and a rare condition called Alström Syndrome.
The entire NCW community rallied behind them, with students, staff, families, and supporters cheering them on throughout the challenge.
Peter said: “It was tough, but so worth it. Millie’s determination and positivity kept us both going. We wanted to do something that showed how much we care about the students here and what’s possible when we come together.”
Millie added: “It started off easy, but at around 2:30am I really hit a wall—I was struggling to stay awake. My favourite part was doing weights, which I really enjoy. Going outside at sunrise to play football gave me such a boost, and seeing people come to support us near the end was amazing.
“I was absolutely buzzing after we finished—so much adrenaline! I felt that rush right through until Wednesday. It felt so good to achieve what I set out to do.”
Peter and Millie have so far raised £758 which will be split between New College Worcester and Alström Syndrome UK.
