A successful first week in Worcester for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s new shop

A NEW Midlands Air Ambulance Charity shop, which was officially opened at the end of last month, is already off to a flying start, writes Maya Evans.

The charity’s tenth shop, located in the Friary Walk Shopping Centre in Worcester, was opened by Charles Moyle JP, the High Sheriff of Worcestershire.

Also in attendance was social media influencer Jen Graham, also known as ‘Charity Shop Girl’.

Jen is a well-known advocate for charity shops and is helping to reshape the way people view and shop at these stores.

The new shop features a wide range of pre-loved items including clothing, accessories, homeware and books and funds raised over a successful opening weekend will help make two air ambulance missions and two critical care car missions possible.

Amy Pates, retail area manager at Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said “We are truly grateful for the incredible support from the Worcester community.

“The funds raised through our new shop will directly contribute to our lifesaving missions in Worcestershire, and we couldn’t make this impact without the generosity and enthusiasm of our supporters.”

The opening hours of the shop are Monday to Saturday, 9.30am to 5.30pm, and Sunday, 11am to 5pm.
