THERE will be a small number of changes to Worcester residents’ bin, collections over the Christmas and New Year periods.
People whose bins would normally be emptied on Wednesdays are being asked to put them out for collection on the following Saturdays, December 28 and January 4.
If your bin would normally be emptied on Thursday December 26, you should instead put it out to for collection on Monday December 30.
All other dates for domestic bin collection will remain the same.
Worcester City Council has urged residents to remember to make sure bins are placed out by 7am on the day of collection.
Extra crews will be working on Saturday December 28, Monday December 30 and Saturday January 4, and bagged side waste will be collected where necessary.
Bin collections return to normal from Tuesday January 7 2025.
There will be no bulky waste collections from December 24 to January 2.
For trade waste collections, there will be changes across the Christmas and New Year weeks.
On some days when both recycling and residual waste would normally be collected, only residual waste will be collected.
