Worcester care home aims to spread Christmas joy with toy drive

A TOY drive in Worcester aims to ensure no child goes without a gift this Christmas.

Perry Manor care home, on Charles Hasting Way, has teamed up with Holy Trinity and St Matthews Church, in Ronkswood, to encourage residents to donate new toys and gifts for youngsters in need.

The toy drive collection point will be located in the care home’s reception area until Monday December 16 and the care team is encouraging locals to join them in donating gifts such as dolls, teddy bears, books, educational games, and clothes for children aged from 0 to 18-years-old.

Home manager Katherine Matthews said: “At Perry Manor, we are always looking for ways to give back and support our community and local charities, which is why we are thrilled to be partnering with Holy Trinity and St

Matthews Church to bring some Christmas magic to children who may otherwise go without.

“The toy drive is a wonderful way for the local community to come together and make a real difference this Christmas. We encourage everyone to drop by and donate gifts that will bring a smile to a child’s face this festive season.”
