Greyfriars House in Worcester celebrates a raucous Tudor Christmas

FESTIVE visitors to Greyfriars House and Garden are invited to step back in time to the Tudor period.

The National Trust property, dating back to late medieval times in Worcester city centre, is being decked out with twinkling lights, feasts, roses, and wreaths for a traditional Tudor Christmas.

Guided tours will allow guests to discover 500 years of history as they admire the decorations, with other special events laid on in the lead up to Christmas.

On Friday December 13 there will be the chance to join the Lypett Household of reenactors for traditional crafts and festive preparations, and on Saturday December 14 visitors can join the group for feasting, dancing, and all kinds of revelry as they celebrate Christmas at Greyfriars in raucous Tudor style.

The Old Oak Café will be serving up festive treats and the second-hand bookshop has been decorated with upcycled decorations made by staff and volunteers for the occasion.
