AN UNEXPLODED device has been found on Heath Close in Hallow.

Police closed the road after a woman found it whilst clearing out a garage – but the road is now open,

Residents from the area were evacuated and police attended the scene.

A spokesperson from West Mercia Police said: “We were called to Heath Close in Hallow shortly before 2.15pm this afternoon following the discovery of an unexploded ordnance.

“A 100m cordon was put in place as a precaution.  Experts from Explosive Ordnance Disposal were on scene assessing the device.”

Explosive Ordnance Disposal found that the device wasn’t viable and so the cordon and road closures have now been lifted.
