VISITORS to Waddle for Worcester could win a free holiday courtesy of one of the city’s happy huddle.

‘Penguin on Holiday’ is one of the 80 sculptures in the city by St Richard’s Hospice and is at The Cross – unlike the other statues this penguin has a bonus plaque with a chance to win a trip to Morocco.

It has been sponsored by arrangeMY escape, which said it wanted to spread some extra joy while supporting the hospice.

Jennifer Lynch, general manager at arrangeMY escape, said: “We’re so excited to be involved in our second art trail, supporting our friends at St Richard’s Hospice.

“This is very important to us as a family-run business.

“‘Penguin on Holiday’ is such a relatable character, capturing that holiday vibe perfectly in his Hawaiian shirt and flip flops.

“He’s bringing such fun to local people of all ages, we thought it would be brrr-illiant to offer a free holiday too.

“Can you imagine finding out a family trip for four to Morocco is all yours? We can’t wait to contact the lucky winner in the autumn and tell them the good news.”

Waddle for Worcester will be in the city until September, 15.

There will be a final chance to see all 80 penguins which will be auctioned to raise money for St Richard’s Hospice.

Sara Matthews, business development manager for St Richard’s Hospice, said: “‘Penguin on Holiday’ is one of our cool characters out on the trail and we’ve seen how well loved he is as visitors young and old capture selfies with him.

“Sponsors like arrangeMY escape enable us to cover the running costs of the great Waddle of Worcester and deliver a fun, free day out for local families. We’re so grateful to all our partners and sponsors who make the trail possible.”
