WORCESTER will see the classic movie Grease on a summer night at an outdoor cinema in support of hospice care.
The screening will take place in Spetchley Park’s gardens on August, 31 at 6.15pm and will raise cash for St Richard’s Hospice.
Sofia Gunster, events and community fundraising lead, said: “This is our first outdoor cinema event and we’re so excited to welcome everyone for a fun movie night in the great outdoors.
“We’re inviting guests to come along in their finest Grease-inspired outfits, and there will be a prize for the best dressed.
“And, we hope everyone sings along to the timeless tunes throughout.
“So, pack your picnics, bring your camping chairs, and get ready for a fantastic evening raising funds for hospice care.”
Tickets include the outdoor cinema screening, popcorn on arrival and entrance to Spetchley’s gardens.
There will be local businesses selling hot food, drinks and ice cream, along with a bar.
Dave Rawlings, managing director at event sponsor Oakland Air Control, said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring St Richard’s Hospice’s first outdoor cinema event, which is going to be a wonderful fun occasion and a great opportunity to raise well needed funds for this hard working charity.”
