Royal Worcester announced Summer Fun Day

THE MUSEUM of Royal Worcester has announced its annual Summer Fun Day that will be held on August, 14 at 11am til 3pm.

This years theme is ‘Summer Fruits’ and is inspired by the designs painted and food served on Worcester porcelain.

A quite hour between 10 and 11am will be held which will allow visitors to enjoy the open day with a more relaxed manner.

A pop-up museum in the courtyard will welcome visitors to participate in creative activities.

There will be a historic ice cream and sorbet workshop inspired by an award winning food historian and chef Dr Neil Buttery.

Kate Travers, museum director, said: “Summer fun day visitors can also enjoy teatasting of herbal and flower teas served in Royal Worcester china, demonstrations of ceramic techniques by former Royal Worcester artists and get close to examples of Worcester porcelain from our handling collection.




“Staff and volunteers are getting excited to host our biggest Summer Fun Day yet, with something for everyone to enjoy.”

The Museum of Royal Worcester celebrates Worcester’s porcelain heritage – 250 years of world-class art and design, local skill and innovation.


They are located in the heart of historic Worcester, close to Worcester Cathedral, parking on King Street, riverside walks and cycle routes.
