A UNIVERSITY of Worcester project has been shortlisted for an environmental award.
The University’s online sustainability magazine ‘Sus Things Out’ was named as a finalist in the Digital Futures category for this year’s Green Gown Awards.
It was started a decade ago by students, lecturers, and expert practitioners to share stories about how students work to combat climate change.
Professor David Green, CBE DL, is the chief executive and vice-chancellor said: “We are delighted that our work on sustainability has once again been recognised, especially by the Green Gown awards which are considered the OSCARS for Higher Education sustainability.
“The Sus Things Out website enables our students to showcase the work they’ve been doing to improve the environment for everybody and inspire people into action.”
Katy Boom, the director of sustainability at the University and founder of Sus Things Out magazine said: “I am thrilled to see the online resources we have created with our staff and students being celebrated with a nomination by the Green Gown Awards.
“Sus Things Out was created to help people understand what they can do to improve the world around us while drawing attention to the challenges we all face with sustainability and the environment, and it’s wonderful to see the collective efforts of the whole
