YOUNGSTERS in Chaddesley Corbett dreaming of becoming a footballer may one day get the chance to play for Worcester Raiders thanks to a new link-up with another club.

Worcester Raiders has formed a partnership with Chaddesley Corbett FC, which fields teams from under-6s to under-13s and competes in leagues including Stourport, Stourbridge, Mercian, and the Midlands Junior Premier League.

Founded in 1905, Chaddesley Corbett is a youth football club which has developed a strong reputation for developing young talent and providing a pathway for players to progress on their footballing journey.

The partnership will see Chaddesley Corbett youngsters get to visit and play at Raiders’ home ground, Sixways Stadium.

A player pathway will also be developed for talented young players to join the Raiders under-18s and first team, with club coaches, management and players set to visit Chaddesley Corbett’s training sessions.

And the deal will also see youngsters get to be Worcester Raiders mascots and have access to their support group for coaching sessions.

A Worcester Raiders spokesperson said: “We look forward to a long and prosperous partnership and are delighted to welcome everyone from Chaddesley to Raiders and Sixways Stadium for the 2024/2025 season.”
