AN ARREST has been made after a man was stabbed at The Pear Tree on Smite Lane, Hindlip earlier this afternoon (Tuesday, April 2).
Police were called around 1.30pm this afternoon and officers are currently at the scene.
The man has been taken to hospital with a stab wound to his hand.
Police believe the injury, which is not thought to be life-threatening, was caused by a knife.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
He is currently in police custody.
A knife has been recovered and extra officers are in the area to carry out enquiries and offer reassurance.
South Worcestershire local policing commander, Spt Gareth Morgan, said: “We understand this incident will cause the local community concern and I would like to offer my reassurance a man was quickly arrested nearby and we do not believe there is any wider risk to the public.
“Officers will remain in the area this evening, and I would encourage anyone who is concerned to speak to an officer on patrol.”
