Worcester bike security event follows 'spate of thefts'

BIKE lovers across the Faithful City will be able to step up their security at a free event following a recent spate of thefts.

Free security bike markings have been arranged by Worcester City Councillors Karen Lewing and Hannah Cooper along with the Arboretum police safer neighbourhood team (SNT). This follows a recent spate of bike thefts in Aborteum.

The first session will take place tomorrow (Saturday) between 2pm and 4pm at the Sons of Rest building in Gheluevlt Park.

A second session will take place next Saturday, March 23 between the same times at Worcester Baptist Church on Sansome Walk.

At the sessions, bikes will be uniquely marked and have a warning label to warn thieves the bike is registered.

The details will then be added to the Bike Register website.
