Special International Women's Day match for Worcester City FC Women

A SPECIAL match celebrating International Women’s Day and featuring Worcester City Women FC is to be held at the Sixways Stadium in Worcester.

The upcoming game, on Friday, March 8, promises to be an exciting celebration of women’s football featuring the club’s talented team and dedicated to promoting the sport in the local community.

The match will also be an opportunity for fans to celebrate and come together to support the growth of women’s football in the region.

Under the leadership of Worcester-born Nicole Allison, the club has gone from strength-to-strength and hopes to bring fans together for this special Friday night match.

The evening also marks three years since Nicole took over her home-town club, making it one of the few female-owned football clubs in the country.

The team are currently sitting top of the West Midlands Regional Women’s Football League with hopes of winning promotion to The FA Women’s National League Division One Midlands next season.




Following the recent relocation to Sixways Stadium for the 23/24 season, Worcester City Women FC has been making waves in the football community.

The decision to move has proved pivotal in enhancing attendance and fostering growth of women’s football and the club anticipates an influx of fans coming to the stadium on International Women’s Day.


“This International Women’s Day match is a testament to our commitment to advancing the women’s game and putting Worcester on the map for women’s football, all while creating memorable experiences for our fans and the residents of Worcester,” said Nicole.

“Three years since taking over the club have flown by with many successes along the way and we feel this match is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the club’s growth, talent and passion on this special occasion.”

The evening will also include an appearance from TV’s favourite, guest of honour and Worcester City Women FC alumni, the Gladiator star Livi Sheldon who will be available for meet and greet and photos.
