Man threatened with machetes in Worcestershire armed robbery

Worcester Editorial 22nd Jan, 2024   0

A MAN was threatened with machetes during an armed robbery on St Andrews Road in Pershore.

The incident took place on Sunday (January 21) at about 5.30pm.  The victim had arranged to meet someone to buy his Huskavana SC250 pit bike.

While unloading the bike from his trailer one man and four people wearing balaclavas threatened the victim with machetes.

One of the robbers then stole the bike before the others fled in a gold/brown coloured car towards Pershore Abbey.

A ‘significant’ number of officers including armed patrols and specialists units attend the scene.

An investigation is now underway, led by detectives and digital forensics officers.

Officers are appealing for anybody who may have seen the incident or who may have CCTV or doorbell footage.
