Man in his 80s taken to hospital after Worcester crash

A MAN in his 80s was taken to hospital after a crash in Worcester around 11.10am his morning.

The collision, involving just the one car, happened on the A440 Swinsherd Way.

West Midland Ambulance Service sent two ambulances to the scene, with the first arriving in six minutes.

The man, who was in a potentially serious condiition, received treatment from medics at the scene and was then taken to the Worcestershire Royal Hospital for further treatment.

A crew from Worcester Fire Station attended and made the vehicle safe.

The car’s recovery was left with the police and Highways England as fuel had spilled from the vehicle onto the carriageway.
