MALVERN-based charity What Makes You Different Makes You Beautiful were delighted to receive a donation of £1,500 from the Morrisons Foundation.
The much-needed funding will help the charity to provide food boxes to families in hardship who have children with additional needs from all across the region.
Kassie Walker, project manager of the charity said: “On behalf of the children and families at What Makes You Different Makes You Beautiful, I’d like to thank the Morrisons Foundation for providing the funding to our monthly themed food boxes. “We are a charity which supports children with additional needs and their families.
“With the funding Morrisons has provided, we will be able to offer 10 families a month a food box on a variety of themes and different cultural occasions that they may not normally get the opportunity to experience.
“By offering these boxes, it will reduce social isolation for those that can’t access our other services due to the family constraints, finances, and circumstances that may be too overwhelming for the children that we support.
“These boxes will get the whole family involved, children can help their parents/carers and learn new life skills,” she added.
