A WOMAN based at Malvern’s Goodridge Electrical Contractors Ltd has been named JLT’s National Apprentice of the Year 2023 due to her exceptional work.

The ceremony was held at the Victory Services Club last Wednesday.

JLT is one of the leading apprenticeship providers in the building services engineering sector in England and Wales.

Chris Claydon, JLT’s chief executive, said: “Our national awards are all about recognition for hard work and achievements of our learners.”

After being crowned a Regional Electrical Award winner for her academic and practical process at JLT’s regional awards, Amy went on to compete against 11 other regional winners at JLT’s annual awards ceremony.

The award scheme assessed each finalist on four key aspects – their practical work on-site, theoretical knowledge, key skills and industrial test scores.

As JLT’s apprentice of the year, Amy was presented with an engraved glass trophy and a £1,000 cheque in recognition of her outstanding performance throughout the four years of her training.

She said: “I was completely shocked when I heard my name announced as the winner of National Apprentice of the year.

“The process has made me reflect on where I’ve come from and the challenges I’ve faced.
