15-year-old Worcester boy issued with Criminal Behaviour Order

A CRIMINAL Behaviour Order has been granted against a 15-year-old boy from Worcester with a history of anti-social behaviour.

The CBO was granted at Worcester Youth Court on July 5 for Harley Brown, of Cedar Avenue, Worcester and will last for a period of 16 months.

The order stipulates that he is prohibited from the following for the duration of his order:

-Entering Worcester City Centre unless accompanied by a parent or a person previously approved by social services

-Entering Malvern town centre unless accompanied by a parent or a person previously approved by social services

-Entering the school grounds of Bishop Perowne High School, or loitering outside or approaching or threatening any of the staff and pupils at the school or those going to and from the school




-Being with 11 named individuals in any public place (unless a place of education at which both he and the other are registered pupils and attending classes

-Wearing a face covering such as a balaclava or scarf (covering face) in any public place unless required by public health measures


-Making threats towards others via any means, including via social media

-Refusing to leave a premises or area when asked by someone who has authority do so

-Riding any mechanically propelled vehicle, including mopeds/motor bikes in an Anti-social manner or on any land unless given prior permission by the landowner

Chief inspector Brian Gibbs of Worcester Police, said: “We understand the impact anti-social behaviour has on our communities.

“What this result shows is that we will pursue offenders and we will robustly apply for orders to manage and prevent any future offending in order to make our communities safer.

“My teams work very hard with our communities and I would encourage anyone who is a victim of anti-social behaviour to contact their local safer neighbourhood team.”

This week (July 3 to 9) is Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Awareness Week and West Mercia Police is urging members of the public not to suffer in silence if they experience ASB.

Incidents can be reported to the anti-social behaviour team at your local council, or to the Police if you feel that you are at immediate risk or in danger.
