MIDLANDS Air Ambulance chiefs have called on Worcestershire residents to honour a loved one’s memory with a dedicated online tribute.
More than 2,000 people in the last year chose to support Midlands Air Ambulance Charity with a donation to the vital county lifeline.
The charity is encouraging communities in Herefordshire and Worcestershire to join the 2,083 people who remembered a loved one by creating a bespoke online page sharing photos, music and special memories to celebrate their life.
Across spring, a complimentary pack of seeds will be sent to all supporters making a tribute in this way.
On the sad occasion when somebody passes away, friends and family often choose to donate to charity in memory of a loved one.
In the last financial year, in memory of donations raised more than £550,000 for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, which has helped fund more than 188 air ambulance missions, making a huge difference to the continuation of the charity’s life-saving pre-hospital emergency service.
Emma Wood, head of fund-raising and engagement at Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “Due to our rapid response and advanced clinical care, we go out to some of the most extreme medical emergencies and traumatic injuries.
“Our in-memory fundraising offers supporters comfort in keeping the memory of their loved ones alive.
“All those who choose to donate in memory of a loved one this spring will receive a complimentary pack of spring seeds to plant as a fitting tribute, where seasonal flowers will bloom in celebration of their loved one’s life.”
