Young and old alike enjoy a new chapter at Bedtime Stories event

Worcester Editorial 10th Feb, 2023   0

A WORCESTER care home organised a special reading session with local author Gillian Young and primary school children as part National Storytelling Week.

Care UK’s Perry Manor, on Charles Hastings Way, welcomed King’s St Alban’s Prep School into the home for a retelling of Poppy Loves Devon by children’s author Gillian Young.

To celebrate the week, Care UK has created the Bedtime Stories event which sees residents across the UK read classic bedtime stories to young children.

Home manager Katherine Matthews said: ““We would like to thank Gillian for entertaining us with her reading and hope to welcome her back through the doors of Perry Manor very soon.”
