How Worcestershire's libraries are now warm spaces

Worcester Editorial 30th Jan, 2023   0

WARM spaces are available at the county’s libraries.

All libraries are included in the Warm Welcome Network, offering spaces for people to keep warm, as well as offering opportunities to find advice and information and stay connected with others over winter.

They will also signpost community partners and agencies that can support people through the rising cost of living.

The year-round programme is open to all, allowing access to books, the internet, WiFi and digital support.

Various clubs, including reading groups, health walks and Lego Club, are also available to everyone.

Coun Marcus Hart, cabinet member for communities, said: “Our libraries are always welcoming spaces for people to visit and use, but our warm spaces will have some additional resources to help people through this time and hopefully ease the pressure.

“I encourage members of the community to help spread the word and I hope to see you at one of our libraries soon.”
