More thunderstorms forecast as Met Office issues yellow weather warning

Worcester Editorial 5th Sep, 2022   0

THE MET Office has predicted there could be more thunderstorms on the way in the next 48 hours and has issued a yellow weather warning for Worcestershire and much of England.

According to forecasters, there is a 70 per cent chance of thunder, lightning, heavy rain and high winds between 7pm and 1am tomorrow (Tuesday). And there could be further storms tomorrow afternoon and evening.

These will be accompanied by wind and rain which could bring issues to roads and properties.

Drivers and public transport users should allow more time for journeys because of poor conditions.

There could be delays to trains and buses.

Buildings face damage from high winds and lightning strikes and there could be power cuts and flooding in some areas.
