A CELEBRATION of the achievements of Worcestershire’s Youth Cabinet over the past year was held to mark the end of term for county youngsters.
County Hall’s council chamber was the venue for the event to mark all the voluntary group have been doing for young people across Worcestershire.
Members from across the districts had the opportunity to tell some of the county’s local councillors including leader Coun Simon Geraghty what they had been up to for the past year and how they feel things could improve across the county before they move on to new opportunities.
“It was a real honour to speak to some of our Youth Cabinet and find out their plans for summer and beyond, as well as all they have achieved through another school year,” Coun Geraghty said.
“Like many organisations, over the last few years, the Youth Cabinet haven’t had the opportunity to meet in person, and had to work together online and their continued work was impressive.
“The Youth Cabinet are a real voice for young people in Worcestershire, it is groups like these which help us to improve the county’s outlook for young people and it is great to hear all they have achieved and all they hope to go on and achieve.
