Conservatives hit the streets in search of district champions

Worcester Editorial 29th May, 2022   0

CONSERVATIVES across West Worcestershire have organised a series of pop-up street stalls across Malvern Hills district in search of champions in their local community.

West Worcestershire Conservative Association (WWCA) is looking for councillor candidates who want to serve their local community ahead of the local elections in May 2023.

Association members along with local Conservative councillors and Harriett Baldwin MP have been taking the opportunity to speak to residents in Barnards Green, Malvern Link and Great Malvern and listen to their concerns on Saturday mornings over the last few weeks.

The pop-up street stalls have been so successful more are planned all over the constituency during the summer including Malvern, Tenbury Wells, Kempsey and in Pershore.

Chairmen Ian Daly said “Local issues get solved by local people and WWCA are looking for residents with Conservative values to become candidates for next year’s district council elections.

“With our pop-up street stalls across the district we have already spoken to many potential candidates and identified a number of local issues which we hope to include in our manifesto.”
