Let's go fly a kite at Fort Royal Park this weekend and during half-term

SPRING has sprung, despite the falling temperatures, and Fort Royal Park will play host to a community event this weekend.

On Sunday (April 10) between 2pm and 4pm there will be a kite flying display by Midlands Kite Flyers, a collective of kite experts with a range of spectacular kite designs.

Visitors will also be able to get involved and fly their own kites too and get tips and advice from the specialists.

There will also be free multi-sports activities, delivered in partnership with Freedom Leisure, so visitors of all ages will be able to keep fit and have fun at the same time.

Beyond the Sunday afternoon bash, there will also be activities throughout half term.

From Saturday (April 9) until St George’s Day on (April 23), the park will feature an Easter trail of 12 boards, each with its own unique challenge to do.

Funded in part by Worcester City Council Covid recovery money and laid on by the Friends of Fort Royal Park and Commandery Gardens, the event is free to attend and open to all
