CRICKET bosses at New Road have reminded charities they have less than two weeks to apply to be considered the club’s charity partner for 2022.
Following on from the success of last season, Worcestershire CCC are now in the process of looking for a new charity for the 2022 campaign.
Last season, the club teamed up with St Richards Hospice and, throughout 2021, took part in many activities to raise awareness and funds.
Shortly after the application deadline on January 31, members of the club’s charity committee will review the applications and select a charity for 2022.
The charity will be the core focus of the club’s charity drive throughout the season. The club will work with the charity, meeting regularly to plan fund-raising and awareness campaigns.
Worcestershire’s head of commercial and operations David Hoskins said: “We enjoyed a successful year with St Richards Hospice in 2021 as our first official charity partner, and we are eager to build on that next year.
“A series of partnership events and initiatives throughout 2022 can help drive awareness of the chosen charity and hopefully help generate much-needed funds for their worthy cause.
