Appeal for witnesses after rape in Worcester bus station toilets

AN APPEAL for witnesses has been launched following a report of rape in Worcester.

The incident took place in the men’s toilets at Crowngate Bus Station at about 4.15pm on Monday (November 8).

A 37-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the incident has now been released while investigations continue.

Det Insp Ed Slough, said: “We understand incidents of this nature cause concern in the local community and would like to reassure people that they are extremely rare.




“Our local policing teams are conducting additional reassurance patrols in the area whilst investigations continue.”

Anyone whose used the male toilets betwee 4pm and 4.30pm and may have seen an altercation or anything unusual are being urged to come forward.
