A WORCESTER charity funding czar has insisted it’s still business as usual for Community Boost, the organisation which helps voluntary and community groups to access grant funding.
Lockdowns may have slowed but did not completely stop the Boost from continuing to generate funds for a whole range of community organisations and local charities.
The Boost has now been able to generate £1.6 million in grant funding with £1million of that sum going into the local economy via groups based in Worcestershire.
“It is now time for me to start to try to reach that magic £2million figure” said Keith Slater, the man behind Community Boost.
“Grant funding is particularly important at present as sadly we are in a period when the voluntary and community groups in the city need external funding more than ever before.”
Any community organisation, no matter what size group they belong to, is encouraged to contact [email protected] to find out how the Boost will help them apply for grants.
To celebrate the success so far and to encourage more groups to apply to bring more funding into Worcester a few of the many organisations Keith has worked with, and generated funding for, are pictured.
“If it encourages other organisations then just in this photograph alone the Boost was able to generate over £175k in grant funding. Who’s next?”
