Teachers and pupils thanked as term ends

TEACHERS and pupils across the county have been thanked for their efforts during the pandemic as the bell is rung on the school year today (Wednesday)

Worcestershire Children First and council education chiefs have thanked youngsters and their teaching staff for the support, dedication and innovation over the last 12 months.

Tina Russell, chief executive at Worcestershire Children First, hailed the county’s schools who came together and made sure the pupils and their learning experience was at the heart of everything they’ve done.

Coun Marcus Hart, cabinet member for Education and Skills, said: “As we approach the end of this academic year, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all of the headteachers, college leaders and early years leaders for their continued hard work, support and dedication to the children and young people of Worcestershire.
