A WORCESTER woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after an 83-year-old died following a collision on Church Lane in Cookhill.
Witnesses are being sought following the incident at approximately 5.30pm yesterday (Sunday). The man was outside St Pauls Church Hall when the collision, which involved a Nissan X Trail, happened at
West Midlands Ambulance Service attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed
The 52-year-old was arrested and bailed to return to the police station at a later date.
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: “When crews arrived, it was clear that the pedestrian was in a critical condition.
“Sadly, despite the best efforts, nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”
