E-scooter user fined £660 for riding in pedestrian area

AN ELECTRIC scooter user has been fined £660 for riding it in a pedestrian area of the city.

After ignoring warnings, the man was also ordered to pay £630 costs and handed six points on his licence for having no insurance.

E-scooters are currently illegal on public roads in the UK unless part of an official trial
