STUDENTS at Bishop Perowne CE College enjoyed a performance by the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra as part of the school’s Cultural Capital programme.
Taking place at the Birmingham Symphony Hall, the ‘Feel the Music’ concert had been specifically devised for year seven students to highlight how music can express every human emotion.
The 80-piece orchestra, conducted by Michael Seal, performed music recognisable to the students from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker and Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet, as well as the theme from Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron movie, which was composed by Alan Silvestri.
BBC Radio 3 presenter Tom Redmond presented the concert and gave commentary guiding the students through the music.
