A GROUND-BREAKING bid to make Worcester a better place to live and work will be unveiled at the Bank House Hotel as part of an event being organised by local churches.
The ROC Conversation brings together civic, church, business, charity, public sector and community leaders and representatives from across Worcester and the county, to celebrate all the great work happening within our communities from the grassroots up.
Interested parties are invited to the popular hotel on Tuesday, March 17 at 7pm to look and see if there are any ways groups can work better together to build safer and healthier communities.
Civic leaders along with representatives from the police and emergency services, the council, charities, NHS, education, churches, businesses and various faith based groups will all be present at the event. Anyone who wants to make a difference to the community in Worcester and tackle the issues currently facing the city are welcome.
ROC Conversations have already been held in cities and counties across the county with a number of success stories.
The outcomes from the conversation have been recognised and regarded as significant by the home office and police forces across the UK.
Bishop of Worcester, Dr John Inge, said: “I’m really excited that ROC is coming to Worcester to hold their conversation. I’d encourage all those who want to make a difference to our community to get involved and share their ideas and experiences.
“If the outcome is a practical plan we can all get behind, that can only have a positive impact on Worcester city and beyond.”
