Good news for Oscar

Worcester Editorial 4th Mar, 2020   0

BRAVE Oscar Saxelby-Lee and his family have been boosted by the news he remains free of the T-Cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia almost a year to the day his family’s plea for help began.

Proud mum Olivia and dad Jamie revealed the news on Facebook yesterday (Tuesday) just over 24 hours after the first anniversary of the mass stem cell donor drive which launched the bid to save his life.

Charity chiefs at DKMS revealed the drive registered a staggering 6,256 donors of whom six have already gone on to donate.

The six-year-old will now begin a stem cell transplant from dad Jamie to boost his immune system in what the family hope will be his last gruelling treatment.
