How to dispose of your 'real' Christmas trees....

Worcester Editorial 5th Jan, 2020   0

CITY residents are being reminded of their options for recycling their Christmas tree.

January 6, which falls on Monday, is Twelfth Night – the day when we traditionally take down our trees and decorations but some will want to do it before or after that date.

Residents can drop off their trees at their local household recycling centre. At the centre the tree will be sent for composting.

Coun Tony Miller, cabinet member for the Environment at Worcestershire County Council said; “Household Recycling Centres are a great way to help the post- Christmas clear up.

“Taking a trip to local recycling centre can make sure the things you don’t need any more can go where they’ll be of use either by being recycled or gain a new lease of life benefiting both local communities and the environment.”
