Get designing Mayor’s Xmas card

Worcester Editorial 24th Oct, 2019   0

CREATIVE youngsters across the city are being tasked to design the Mayor of Worcester’s Christmas card.

Primary school pupils aged between five and 11-years-old have been invited to get drawing and painting to come up with a seasonal picture that shows a Worcester landmark or symbol.

Mayor of Worcester, Coun Allah Ditta said: “Don’t forget to include a Worcester landmark or symbol in your card design – Father Christmas landing on top of the Hive, penguins swimming in the River Severn – or whatever takes your fancy.”

The entries will be judged in late November by the Mayor, his chaplain Canon John Everest and city council managing director David Blake.

As well as their winning design on the card, the winner will be invited to tea at the Mayor’s Parlour in the Guildhall and their school will receive a £50 gift voucher for art materials.
