Looking good for charity

Worcester Editorial 9th Sep, 2019   0

A BLACK-TIE ball to raise cash for a Worcester-based charity will be held at the Bank House Hotel Spa and Golf.

The SJL Foundation’s first ever event is being held on November 9 with a night of fizz, food and fun entertainment.

Charity founder and CEO of insurance firm SJL Insurance, Simon Lancaster is ensuring 100 per cent of donations made to the foundation go to the charity.

The SJL Foundation will aim to raise £100,000 in its first year. For the next two years 45 per cent of donations go to Acorns Children’s Hospices based across the Midlands.

A further 10 per cent will be in a cash pot for SJL staff while the remaining 45 per cent will be donated as grants for new business start-ups across the UK.
