STAFF and visually-impaired volunteers from Warriors Community Foundation completed an 84-mile trek along the length of Hadrian’s Wall.

The intrepid walkers set out from Newcastle last Monday (June 10) and completed their fund-raising trek on Friday (June 14) at Bowness-on-Solway.

The walkers aim to raise £3,000 through their efforts which will upport and grow the Community Foundation’s programmes for visually-impaired sport, including the pioneering Hugby scheme.

“I’ve walked 84 miles with some of the most inspiring people you will meet. We faced the challenge together, conquered fears, motivated each other and finished as a team,” said Simon Northcott, Warriors Community Foundation Disability Lead.

“We’re already planning next year’s challenge. Nothing is impossible. Thank you so much for your donations everyone. It’s been a tough but great week and everyone has been really generous.”
