Transporting us into the golden age of steam

Worcester Editorial 5th Jun, 2019   0

THIS STUNNING PICTURE of Clun Castle crossing the River Severn in the heart of the city was captured by photographer James Corben.

Locomotive 7029 was at the head of a train run by Vintage Trains and was an evening dining service from Tyseley to Worcester and return.

Tyseley Locomotive Works fully restored ‘Clun Castle’ with the aid of staff, volunteers and donors – a restoration that has taken seven years and countless hours of blood, sweat and the occasional tear.

A further service will run on July 4.
