GIN LOVERS across the city will be able to raise a glass at Worcester’s second annual Gin Festival which will be held at the Guildhall.
After a sell-out debut in 2018, the independently organised festival is supported by local Foregate Street businesses Bolero Bar and Kitchen, No 35 Wine Bar and Tonic Bar.
Worcester Gin Festival will be held in the heart of the city on Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5 with an afternoon and evening session on each day running from 12.30pm to 5.30pm and between 6.30pm and 11.30pm.
Live entertainment, talks from gin distillers, live music and DJ’s and the chace to sample more than 100 gins on the bars are all on offer.
Richard Wheatley, general manager at Bolero Bar and Kitchen said: “Last year’s festival was a great success with an amazing atmosphere. We received extremely positive feedback from the attendees who said the festival was like no other the city had seen before.
“This year we’re focused on ensuring we have a wide array of distillers and brands from the local area, we’ve already confirmed that Dr Eamers’ Emporium, Hubbards Gin, and Piston Gin will all be in attendance.
“I think it’s very important to support local businesses and ensure that our high street thrives. This year the festival gives us an opportunity to show Worcester what their city and local area can produce.
“The Guildhall is an ideal venue for the festival, due to its central location, incredible 18th century architecture and ideal transport links and we have built a great working relationship with their knowledgeable and supportive staff,” he added.
The festival has no association with the national gin festival company which went into administration in 2018 whilst promoting an event at Worcester racecourse.
