CROWNGATE Shopping Centre chiefs have revealed the £1.5million redevelopment of the Angel Place entrance of Friary Walk will begin in early March.
After investment from the shopping centre’s owner rhe Crown Estate, the updates will include new windows and a modernised entrance at Angel Place when it is completed in the autumn.
Centre manager Mike Lloyd said the refurbishment would create a better shopping environment while respecting traditional heritage of the city centre.
“The investment helps to showcase Crowngate as a destination which continues to attract established brands and independent operators, as well as being a venue which people enjoy visiting,” he said.
“It will open additional doors in terms of potential new businesses, which will increase employment and boost the local economy.”

Midlands-based construction company, adi Building and Refurbishment has been appointed to carry out the redevelopment with a workforce of 15 people from Worcestershire and neighbouring counties for the 26-week project.
