A MEMBER of staff at the Co-op on Ambleside Drive was left shaken after having an aerosol sprayed at them during a robbery.
Witnesses are being sought for the incident at around 7.40pm on Sunday (December 23) when a man entered the store on Ambleside Drive.
He demanded a member of staff hand over money and cigarettes and is believed to have used an aerosol spray to assault them. A quantity of cash and cigarettes were removed from the premises before the incident.
Officers are keen to speak to the man pictured as they believe he may have information which could help with the ongoing investigation.
Det Sgt Suzanne Breay said: “We believe this to be an isolated incident and not linked to any other offences. The substance sprayed appears to have had no lasting effects although the member of staff was left shaken by the incident.”
