ACTIVE pupils at Grimley and Holt Primary School added Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life to the timetable and helped raise more than £3,000 for the charity.
Youngsters, parents, staff and governors came together to take on cancer and walk, jog or run around the school playing field for the event organised by parent Sarah Sanders.
Headteacher Andy Richards, said: “So many people in the school community have been touched by cancer in some way; this was obvious from the messages written on the signs on the children’s backs.
“We are so grateful for everyone who contributed to this very important cause, particularly for the inspiration of Sarah Sanders. We have some wonderful parents.”
