YOUNGSTERS at Oldbury Park Primary School enjoyed a taste of the outdoors with a dedicated week of activities.
As part of Outdoor Learning Week, every class had one lesson a day outside as staff and youngsters enjoyed the surroundings on offer at the Oldbury Road school.
Children were able to take their maths and English learning outside, wrote creative stories whilst others used the theory of shapes they had learnt in class to examine the buildings around them.
Alongside these type of activities more children were given the opportunity to understand the safety procedures needed when lighting a fire, using it to cook on and most importantly about ensuring it is out safely.
Teacher Teresa Marks, said: “It was great to see children and adults their enjoying learning outside throughout the week. There was enthusiasm and excitement all week from both children and teachers.”
