STUDENTS from Bishop Perowne CE College raised £117.15 for Christian Aid after taking part in a range of activities as part of Christian Aid Week.

Those who are applying to be the school’s Head Boy and Head Girl during the next school year were tasked with organising the week and arranged for karaoke and a talent show to take place every lunchtime with students making a donation to take part.

An art show also ran throughout the week with students invited to submit pieces that had a food theme while a cake show was the icing on the top of a week to remember.

Headteacher Mark Pollard, said: “We’re very proud to follow the Christian kingdom values of love, justice, compassion and freedom.

“The students really take these values to heart and are always keen to take part in activities that support others, so well done to them for coming together to raise money for the charity.

“The Year 10s who organised the week did a fantastic job and everyone thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the events.”
