YOUNG bookworms at Blessed Edward Oldcorne Catholic College welcomed author and playwright Mark Billen into school to share his work.
Year 7 students learned more about his work from young readers through to adults and read a range of books, taking parts of characters where appropriate.
Mark talked about the process of writing and illustrating his young reader books, which sees him photograph teddy bears in various scenes.
Each book can take a couple of hours to illustrate, by moving the bears around into each position.
