Pair sought after attempted handbag theft at cemetery

POLICE are searching for two youths who attempted to steal a handbag from a city resident visiting a grave at Astwood Cemetery on Saturday.

The attempted theft took place at about 2.30pm and saw the youths approach the victim for the failed raid.

The first youth is described as 5ft 10ins tall and was wearing a grey hoodie with dark trousers with his face covered up and the second is said to be 20 years old who wore dark clothing and a cap and rode a bicycle.

The pair made off towards Bilford Road following the attempted theft.
