FUNDING to replace broken gas boilers is available to Worcestershire households thanks to Warmer Worcestershire.
Cash will be offered to homeowners where the gas boiler has broken and the household is considered to be ‘fuel poor’.
Living in a cold home can have a negative impact on a person’s health and well-being and can exacerbate long term health conditions in particular respiratory illness and cardiovascular disease.
The funding will be allocated on a first come first serve basis, before the deadline of the end of March 2018.
In order to be in with a chance of the cash, residents are asked to contact Act on Energy, who will work with them to complete an eligibility survey.
Eligibility will be based on the applicant being in receipt of means-tested benefits, or meeting criteria from the Energy Company Obligation (ECO), as well as having a broken or inefficient boiler.
Eligible households are then referred to the contractor for a technical survey, which helps to determine what works need to be completed.
Call Act on Energy 0800 988 2881 from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday for more information.
